    Bundled OCR runs offline and speaks visible labels in reading order.

    Type “Save” and hear “bottom right.” Likely buttons are clearly marked as estimates.

Private by construction

The picture disappears.

Captures live only in memory long enough for local OCR. They are discarded immediately after recognition. Lens has no telemetry, cloud vision service, remote control, or hidden full-screen capture.

Version 0.1 builds are unsigned. On macOS, right-click the app and choose Open. Windows may show a SmartScreen notice.

Honest boundaries.

Can Lens click a button for me?

No. It gives a directional cue and keeps you in control. It does not move the pointer, press keys, or operate the target app.

Does OCR always get the label right?

No OCR does. Lens shows uncertainty and may miss small, stylized, moving, or low-contrast text. Enlarge the window or increase contrast and capture again.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Window capture and OCR are fully local. Internet is needed only to buy or verify an optional Plus license; a cached valid license continues optimistically offline.
