Your screen stays on your device.

Screen Landmark Lens is designed for sensitive work. The desktop app processes the window you explicitly select on your own computer.

Window captures

A capture is held in memory only while the bundled OCR engine reads it. It is not written to your documents, sent to us, used for training, or retained after the analysis finishes. Lens never captures the full screen unless the window you select is itself full-screen.

Local preferences

The app stores voice speed, saved target phrases, and an optional license token in local storage on your device. You can remove them by clearing the app’s local data or uninstalling the app.

Purchases and license checks

If you buy Lens Plus, the hosted Sociobot checkout and its merchant of record, Dodo, process the purchase. Lens stores the returned license token locally and sends only that token to the Sociobot verification endpoint at most once per day. We do not receive your screen captures or OCR output during verification.

Website

The website has no advertising cookies, behavioral analytics, or third-party scripts. Its service worker caches public page assets on your device so the explanatory pages can reopen offline. GitHub receives ordinary request data when you download a release.

Your choices

You can use all core wayfinding features without an account or purchase. Screen capture permission can be revoked in your operating system settings at any time.
